55 Grain looks to take advantage of the community offered on Xbox Live by extending it to the net. We enjoy the company of mature gamers, not necessarily people of a certain age group. Our main focus is that you have fun by playing with the mature gamers that are a part of the site.
$15 or 1200 tokens on XBLM will net you the latest GRAW download pack, dubbed Chapter 2. For single players it offers a continuation of the co-op campaign. For multiplayer it encompasses new maps, game modes and character customization. Alas, it doesn't appear to include in-game clan support. Too bad...
In case anyone missed it, there should be a new update to Xbox Live coming within the next week. It features some much needed improvements such as being able to download items in the background (as well as putting them in a queue - up to 6 downloads can be pending) as well as having the option to start your console to the Dashboard rather than to the game/DVD that is in the system. I'm a little late in posting this, but for those of you who have yet to find this out, Xbox.com now enables you to send and recieve messages for Live through the website. I can't tell you how happy this makes me. It always seemed like a natural course of progression. I just wonder why it took so long. Now I am able to delete all of Xylofreak03's messages while my network is down and I can't access Live.
I love that I can now send out a mass message to everyone on my friends list from my computer. Having to do so through the Xbox controller was such a pain — even for short messages. Considering my laptop is usually sitting next to me while I am playing Live, I can now answer any typed messages through the website rather than having to pause a game for 5-10 minutes while I chicken-peck my message through the controller. Nice.
Other new items of interest on your MyXbox homepage are the ability to see how many friends you have online without having to click on the 'Friends' button. You only have to click on the button now if you want to see who is online. The Box has also added the ability to view players you have recently played with via the 'Recent Players' button — a nice touch. All in all there seems to be a lot of little improvements, especially to the MyXbox homepage as a whole. Head on over there and check it out for yourselves: www.xbox.com
Finally Xbox is implementing some abilities of Live through their website. For a long time I have been wanting to be able to deny/accept friends requests or add/delete people all together from Xbox's own website. Why this function was always absent is beyond me, but at least now we have the power!
My next beef is the inability to send messages to people on my friends list from Xbox.com. I should be able to check/send messages to anyone on my friends list through the website so I don't have to log on to see if anyone sent me anything. This could be accomplished with a simple Inbox/Outbox feature that is available when you log into your 'My Xbox' area.

Earlier in the day a 4-man team of RD19, FalloutGod, Riney and littleorangeman lost 2-1, but had a very strong showing. We are currently 1-2 on the season and shaping up pretty well. There is a new game available on the Marketplace: Jewel Quest. Head on over to XBLA and download this pretty addicting game. Its kind of like Bejeweled but it adds some strategy to it. Check it out.
